Please call customer Service at 420-5220 to recieve a free oil recycling jug and instructions for oil pick up. Many local automotive stores also provide jugs and accept used motor oil for recycling. No other automotive fluids are eligible for curbside collection. Residents can bring used motor oil and filters during open facility hours at the Resource Recovery Facility at 605 Dimeo Lane. Other Automotive fluids accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility run by Santa Cruz County. FOr Dimeo Lane those hours are Saturdays from 7:30PM-3:30PM Never Dump Down the Drain Auto fluids, such as brake fluid and motor oil, can contaminate lakes and rivers, so never dump them in the trash or down the drain. Instead, dispose of them as hazardous waste. Alternative Ways to Recycle Firestone Complete Auto Care Auto fluids can be recycled at an auto repair shop, such as Firestone Complete Auto Care. Call ahead and ask if they have any special requirements for the transportation of those fluids.
