It is both dangerous and illegal to disposal of Household Hazardous Waste in the garbage, down any drain, or on the ground. Do the right thing and take your Household Hazardous Waste to the nearest drop-off facility – It’s FREE!
In partnership with the County of Santa Cruz, you may take your material to any of the following Household Hazardous Waste drop-off sites:

Buena Vista Landfill

Ben Lomond Transfer Station

2nd Chance Stores no longer offer products to the public. The stores at all three locations closed in February, 2018.
The Santa Cruz Household Hazardous Waste facility is open Saturdays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
